"talk is very, very cheap."

This season should be fun....very fun.

Trash talking is fun, but I still do not get where the Phillies are coming from. Do they have a good team? Yes, but not that good that they can dismiss the team that beat them handily last year with a month to spare. The ridiculous statements really are a bit comical that the Phillies are throwing out there. In the end, I don't mind because anyone that talks this must shit is going down hard.

Well I do give him that Ryan Howard and Chase Utley are good, great even. However, they are what, 28 y/o? Josey and DW are both under 25 and have a higher ceiling. Not to mention -- their rotation is as old as ours!!!! This shit-talking extravaganza is really silly. Like you Mike, I cannot wait for the season start. For more personal reasons though cause I will be out of school by then and starting my blog officially :-)

We shouldn't let wife beaters into Shea, and I don't mean the shirts. Myers is an asshole.

Good call Sidd...well said.

I was in Chicago for the last couple years. Freddy Garcia is average at best guys. I'm telling you. We'll eat him alive this year. Can't WAIT for this season to begin. Oh baby, we're going to be better than last year. Guaranteed. Philly is not that good and they will go down with a fizzle like they do EVERY year. When was the last time they were even in the playoffs???

My favorite part abot Brett Myers is his career era against the Mets. It's a 5.5o ERA. Very nice. The Mets kick his ass and rock him.

I am just not scared. I'm also looking forward to the Mets playing the Phillies 5 times in the first month, should put alot of the bullshit to rest.

Myers and Rollins are only echoing what all the Phillies and the their fans feel. Last year was the Mets year and you guys let the brass ring slip from your finger. When two pitchers such as Maine and Perez who are destined to have at best mediocre careers step up and pitch like they did in the playoffs and you still don’t win then a winning hand is not in your cards. This is the year for the Phillies to win it all and the Mets will be just another flawed team we will easily crush.

If you consider Oliver Perez at best mediocre pitchers than it's only fair to look at the Phillies the same exact way. The only two on the Phillies staff with any sense of upside are Brett Myers and Cole Hamels.
And to back track a little, at BEST Oliver Perez is mediocre? Are you on crack? It's ok to be a fan of the team but that's just a retarded statement. The man doesn't have "un tapped" potential, the man already has had a track record of complete dominance, and this wasn't a decade ago either it was only 2 seasons ago.

I feel bad for you if you really think the Phillies are going to "crush" the Mets. Remember, LIMA TIME! is not on the roster anymore. I'll hope to see you at Citizens Bank in late June.

The depth the rotation has over every other team in the NL E is sick. Boy, if Duque gets injured then we will have to rely on Pelfrey-Oh, no! Or if Park does make the team and goes done sore then we have to bring up Humber-Oh, GOD!!! Damn! We might have to bring in Dave Williams if all goes bad!!!

-Philles are really fucked up if they think they are the favorites.

Stop drinking the kool-aid. The Mets rotation has some serious question marks. Looking at the Mets team, objectively, I can see why a Phillies fan or player would view their chances this year as a good one. It would be close-minded to think that the Mets are without warts.
Trash talking in Feb will never irritate me. Let Rollins, Myers, Hagan yap all they want. Who cares? Fix your bunched up thong and look forward to an exciting year.

Bada, I don't think we can accuse the Met fans on this board as drinking the Kool Aid. In fact, I think most of us would agree the Mets have "warts." True, Phils are good on paper, but they are going to need to walk the walk. On paper, as far as I'm concerned - Mets fan or not - they are as "bad" as we are.

Coop - I wasn't labeling this particular blog as a bunch of MetsFan lemmings. Actually, I prefer this blog over the others. I agree with you about the "on paper" analysis.
What/when is your blog going live?

Hey there Bada - it will be live about a week before Opening Day. I am a student now, along with being a full-time slave...erm...worker, so I can't devote the time I want to right this second. Don't worry, I'll pull out all the bells and whistles for it beforehand!!

I was a winner in the online ticket drawing and am planning on going to the three Subway Series games. As I am perusing the seating options I am wondering what the real fans deem as the most desirable seats. Can you please help me sort this mess out? Thanks, and as always Go Mets. I have copied the options below.

Inner Loge Box $82

Inner Field Box $77

Outer Field Box $54

Outer Loge Box $54

Mezzanine Box $54

Loge Reserved $48

Mezzanine Reserved $35

Upper Box $35

Loge Reserved, Back Rows $25

Mezz. Reserved, Back Rows $25

Corbin, inner loge box is always a winner for me. I have my season tickets in Mezz Box Section 14.

Field level isn't as "desirable" as people would think because somne seats are terrible and you can't see the field. Irony. Anyway, you can't really go wrong with any loge box seats. Or Mezz box seats

Coop hit it on the head...Loge Box are great and Mezz Box are great options.

Is anyone aware of a site that would post stats from todays intersquad game? I read that Delgado hit a jack, but I'm more concerned with the young pitchers that were involved.

Yes, i realize that ST games being on Wednesday...but I can't wait...

Thanks,
and thanks for your help regarding the tickets...
